In some NUC designs, a Custom Solutions Header exposes some SOC features - including Serial I/O - so that they can be used with external add-on circuitry. There are plenty of devices that exist within the SOC that either cannot be used with Windows 7 or are not used because of the design of the NUC in question. Your NUC is fully compatible with Windows 7. All you can do with this device is ignore it or hide it by disabling the PTT feature in BIOS. Second, since the feature was added to support new requirements specific to Windows 8.1 and 10, no support was ever implemented for Windows 7 (by Microsoft or Intel). First of all, the TPM 2.0 specification simply did not exist when Windows 7 was created. This TPM emulator is compliant with the TPM 2.0 Specification - which is not supported on Windows 7. As I mentioned in my edit, the MSFT0101 device is associated with Intel Platform Trust Technology and its Virtual TPM.It may be because only one is actually used (to support the SDXC Card Reader), but that's only a guess on my part. I thought that, if it has the driver for a particular device identifier, it would resolve all instances, but this doesn't seem to be the case. Why one of them resolved and the other didn't, I don't fully understand. According to what I see on my NUC5PGYH (which comes with Windows 10 pre-installed), the Braswell SOC has two SD Host Controllers. Here is what I can tell you regarding the other two: As you can see, with only two exceptions, all of the devices are a part of the SOC's Serial I/O support.
